Google Cultural Institute Intern – Ella Sharp Museum

The Ella Sharp Museum is pleased to offer internship opportunities for qualified post-secondary students as well as those between degree programs to intern in various museum divisions throughout the year. No stipend is offered for these internships. Students are responsible for arranging academic credit with their sponsoring institutions.

We are currently seeking a Google Cultural Institute Intern. The Google Arts & Culture is a digital repository for collections and virtual exhibits. Responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Handling, scanning, and photographing artifacts and archival materials
  • Completing meta data for all images produced
  • Uploading images to the Ella Sharp Museum’s Google Dashboard
  • Participate in museum festivals, events, and exhibits
  • Other related duties as assigned


  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Technologically savvy and or proficient. Prior photography experience preferred
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Works well with others, and has strong written communication skills
  • Prior experience working with collections, handling artifacts and archival documents and using open form databases
  • Undergraduate or graduate student (graduate student preferred)

Time commitment:

15-20 hours per week
Monday- Friday
May 15th-August 4th (12 Weeks)
