The Michigan Museums Association (MMA) is pleased to be able to offer a number of scholarships to help more of our members attend our annual conference this year.  From the Ground Up: Leadership in Museums will take place October 28-30 in Dearborn.  The conference will focus on leadership from a variety of perspectives and will include speakers, sessions, tours, and events. The conference is based at the Dearborn Inn and at museums and locations in the Dearborn area.

Member Scholarships are designed for staff at small institutions that do not have a professional development budget, as well as members paying their own way.  The member scholarship is funded through MMA member donations.  Donations can be made online at michiganmuseums.org/donations.

Scholarships are available to individual MMA members and those listed on the accounts for MMA institutional members. Scholarships will be awarded based on articulation of need and desire to attend, and will reflect the broadest representation of MMA membership possible. The scholarships will cover full conference registration and scholarship recipients are expected to attend the entire conference.

Scholarship recipients will be encouraged to share their experiences after the conference in a short survey and may be invited to write a short essay about their experience.
