Hours: 32 hours per week - flexible

About the Organization

The Whaley Historic House Museum (WHHM) is located on East Kearsley Street in Flint, Michigan. The house sits adjacent to the University of Michigan-Flint and the Flint Cultural Center in Flint’s historic Central Park neighborhood. Built in 1885, the home was the primary residence of the Whaley family, who with the McFarlan family established and governed Citizens Bank in Flint for decades. The house was operated as the McFarlan Home, a long-term care facility for elderly women, from the 1920s until 1976 when it was restored as a residence and established as a house museum. Today the home interprets the development of Flint and Genesee County through tours, history programs and exhibits.
