Part time (28 hours per week) position will provide support to the Jim Crow Museum. The docent(guide) will be trained to lead discussions about race relations and the Jim Crow Period. Serve primarily as museum docent(guide) for walk-in public and group tours during open hours, including every other Saturday noon-5pm. Other duties may include management of artifacts according to standard museum practices, assistance with artifact preservation, research historical information on images, objects and topics, and various office duties.
Required: Satisfactory completion of two years college or equivalent, such as military, technical training, or business/technical schooling. Some experience working with the public or teaching or facilitating tours or workshops.
