MMA conferences are held in the fall and move throughout the state each year. Conferences are typically in more populous areas of the state, though we rotate to smaller communities on a regular basis.
We are working to schedule our conference locations for at least 5 years out. We prefer to have local communities with 2-3 active institutional members to host evening receptions and help on conference teams. Another major location consideration is a conference hotel or meeting space.

The Michigan Museums Association depends upon our institutional members to host workshops, events, and the annual conference.
Workshop hosts provide the program space, arrange for meals and refreshments (if applicable), and assist with local marketing of the workshop. Please contact the MMA office if you are interested in hosting a workshop.
