The Michigan Museums Association is pleased to recognize excellence and service in the Michigan museum community. This year, awards will acknowledge leadership, DEAI activities, and service to the Michigan museum community at a reception to be held on May 11 at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum in Grand Rapids. 

Two Peninsulas Prize recipients will be selected by the MMA Board of Directors after a public nomination process. One award will be presented to an individual for leadership. A second award will be presented to a museum for a diversity, equity, access, or inclusion project. All individuals and museums nominated will be acknowledged. Nominations close March 2

Colleague Champion awards will also be presented to individuals who have been nominated by a colleague for their efforts on a project or team, or for their service to their museum or community. Nominations close April 12.

Award recipients must be members in good standing at the time of the awards presentation. Peninsulas Prize recipients must be present at the event on May 11.
